Internet's first get-out-of-debt community - 134,000 members

Last year my wife had a couple surgeries and she was off of work for a year. I have 3 kids and DES wouldn't help because I was making $10.50 an hour at the time and I made too much for assistance. So I had to use what credit i had to get loans and so did my wife, so we didn't have to deprive our kids of a somewhat decent life. Now we are in so much trouble and I just want the calls to stop and I want my credit cleared of those debts. I have pretty good payment history with all my debtors, but it is getting too overwhelming. I would appreciate the help so much. Thank you, Pablo Camacho

You may call your creditors and work out a payment plan. Since the creditors want their money back, you have to take one step ahead and be upfront about your situation. Show your intentions of clearing the accounts and request to lower down the existing interest rates. You may also take some professional assistance from a debt counselor and know how to draft a suitable plan.
