How does your company handle the agents when they attack a prospective client in an unprofessional manner? Falsely accuse a prospective client of a variety of out of line accusations, directly towards their character and such. Is this the type of employees you wish to have work for your company?

Correction: 400-600 points may be a bit high...
Other sources indicate settlement may affect your fico score 80-120 points. Keep in mind late/missed payments, pending judgements, and the fact that you even considered working with a dsc can also affect your fico score (independent of one another) totalling as much as if not more than a chapter 7 bankruptcy mark on your cbr.

I engaged with Credit Solutions of America (CS) last December to work on a credit card i have which spin out of control. They were extremely slick, made a lot of statements that made sense to me at the time, and made lots of promises. Within weeks of signing up, they said they were doing a number of things on my behalf already.
After 3 months, after i started complaining to CS about the lack of action, they promised to get on the ball if i could make an offer at a certain level. I talked with a lot of family members and begged for some help and was finally able to get to that 50% mark. A week after i made the offer, i still didn't hear from CS and after repeated calls, i was told they had made a mistake and that the Bank did not consider any offer for at least 180 days. I had to wait more.
I immediately terminated the account after talking with a very rude woman who was trying to convince me i was wrong, using very hard and slick tactics. Thanks to my wife (who is smarter at those things than i am), i pressed on and terminated the account. I lost 4 months of payments (over $1,000) that i will never see again.
Three days later, the bank who i re-contacted made me a great offer, was courteous and professional. I will be able to close my account within 4 months.
So, it doesn't matter whether Credit Solutions is genuinely a scam, or is simply inept at doing what they say they do. Stay away.

CANCEL! CANCEL RIGHT NOW!

Let me put it to you this way. Anyone who says: SUPER GOOD NUMBER ONE SETTLEMENT DEAL JUST FOR YOO NUMBER ONE GUY! well... you probably just don't want to work with. The people at this company are 10x slimey-er than any employee of a CA.

In 2007 my sister in law committed suicide because she was in over her head in debt, both in her name and her husbands. He was left with thousands in cc debt in his name. On his behalf I contacted Credit Solutions after seeing a segment on NBC. They said they could help. They took several thousands from him as a fee and did nothing despite my constant calling. I ended up settling his accounts on my own. Living on a fixed income he is now out $$ because of this company with nothing to show. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I enrolled in 2007 and finished my program last year. They did NOTHING for me through the whole process except that they accepted 2 settlement letters I received from the collection agencies that I emailed to them. Then when I tried to get someone to help me figure out what to do next I couldn't get a hold of anyone who was willing to help me. I just got the run around every time I called. Every time I asked why I was not getting any settlement offers on my account (through them) I was told I had to be further along in the program. I settled two debts ON MY OWN with no help from them. I paid these people a lot of money to do absolutely nothing for me. DO NOT hand your money over to these people by enrolling in this program. 3 years later and I am still as bad off as I was and I gave them money I could have paid on my debts for absolutely nothing in return. I hope this saves at least one person from enrolling in their scam of a program.

I would recccomend DS Financial. They don't rip any one off. They settled all of my accounts for less 28 cents on the dollar. I paid the creditor directly and they charged me a small retainer. I would highly reccomend them they can be reached at 866-833-6398.

you guys are all losers, quit blaming the companies. you made the choice to sign up. in debt settlement you can be sued, you may have to pay taxes on forgiven debt and collections calls are hard to stop. The settlements actually work and save you money but it comes at a price of having the risk of lawsuits and enduring collection calls. If sued your debt can settle for more or even 100%. The reality is you created your own mess, so its your fault. Now fix it. Or quit and file bankruptcy.

Credit Solutions is run by and employees morons that take your money and may close one account if your lucky, other than that they suck. Had to go through the BBB of Texas to get our money back that we paid them. Nothing but headache's. Hubby and I had more luck talking to the credit card companies ourselves. Yes, we were taxed on our forgiven debt, yes we got ourselves into it along with being laid off, so, in conclusion. Stay away from Credit Solutions.

People, why would you believe your credit card card companies when you were told not to speak with them. Of course they're going to tell you they haven't heard from CS, they want you to drop out so that you will owe them more money.
