I am a single mother of two and I am currently
looking for a place for my children and I. I
am unable to do that due to problems with my
credit. I am unable to put a roof over my children's
head due to my credit. I need help and I want
to avoid filing bankrupt.

I am sorry to hear about your problems. Have you checked your latest credit copy and calculated the total debts? You may start calling each of your creditors and put your payment proposals. They might work on your terms since they want to have their money back. In case, you need professional help, talk to a consultant referred by this website. He will figure out a plan for you.

Check into the housing assistance programs and see if they can help you find a place. I know most of these places go on income, but someplace to start.
I know how hard it is, for I have been there too. It is hard. Hang in there.
