Join in on the class action lawsuit against them. Cancel with them and get you money back. Try and settle the debt on your own or hire a legit settlement company.

i just cant understand how people are signing up with these companies and not researching them first! This is so important. and if you search this company this post does come up so are people this trustworthy?
SCAM is screamming all over the internet and tv, why wouldnt you take the extra day or even a week to find out about the company? your debt is not going anywere and as for this poor person above is now in really big trouble. NOt only are you loosing your money if you pick a bad company you are loosing time which is crucial during settlement. The ultimate goal is to settle and settle fast before you get sued. Its a time game. The longer time goes on the more likely you are to get sued. |

Call BBB of Dallas, Texas.. I did and they will tell you in detail how false this company is. They started in 2003 and have over 1000 complaints already and over 500 still unresolved. Your credit will actually get worse..

I've been trying to get back my money from Credit Solutions for the past 3 months. I signed up with them and a day after I visited this site for the first time and realized what a mistake I had made. I cancelled immediately and was told that no monies would be withdrawn from my bank account, but they did. They took out $300 that I'm still fighting to get back. I've called them and wrote to them many times and nothing. Besides reporting them to the BBB, what else can I do?

Contact your state Attorney General as well their Texas attorney general. They are currently in hot water with the Texas AG and they will likely refund you given that fact.

Credit solutions is a legitimate company. The number one thing you have to remember is to do exactly what they ask of you while enrolling. I have been with them a little over a year and I tell you that have save me. I haven't completed the program yet but I am halfway there! They're not like these other companies who are really scam artist. They act as if they are working with the creditors.
First things first you have to realize your debt has to be deliquent to even be considered for a settlment. You can't get a settlement on a current active account, they want the full balance. Remember your having issues with paying the card off so letting the account go deliquent should not be an issue. |

Yep. State Attorneys General (in the case of Credit Solutions, 3 of them) always sue legitimate companies, right?
"Claims of 'Becoming Debt-Free' Fall Flat for Consumers" "Some Credit Solutions of America's Clients Say Bills Grew Instead of Shrank" "http://abcnews.go.com/Business/Story?id=7932088&page=1" ![]() "http://www.bbb.org/dallas/business-reviews/debt-reduction/credit-solutions-in-dallas-tx-90005445" But of course, it is to be noted that this company is apparently the largest Debt Settlement company in the nation. And it is also to be noted that these complaints are pretty standard across the entire industry. |

Just wanted to let everyone know our story, it may help you , even though we are current on our credit cards we have a high debt ratio so they have all wracked up our interest rates to 19 & 25% -Bank America & Discover! Talked to a representative from both companies about a hardship program because work is now slow , we now pay 3% & 5% and lowered our payments a few hundred dollars a month!! Do it yourself, do not go to credit card services, why trust a stranger to what you can do yourself. Be truthful, reasonable and let your Yes mean Yes and No mean No. Call Your companies!

I just talked to creditsolutions.com and I don't trust them. 2 years ago I got ripped off by Consumers Law Center, in Coral Springs, Florida. The attorney general in fa is on top of them and I hope I get my $ back. They scamed 20,000 people. CreditSolutions wanted me to do the same thing that C.L. said to do. Don't default on your payments to your credit cardsl, my credit is ruined. Why do the banks get bailed out with stimulas and we that have been scamed get nothing? Go figure, its all about the gov. and who or what you are.

Credit solutions tried to hook me; i did some figuring, and they were charging
33% instead of the 15% they declared that they were charging. They wanted $14,000. For $40,000. Debt. I escaped!!!!! Beware of fast-talking chris. You might talk with mmi money mgmt intern'l (they declare themselves non-profit). I talked with their credit counselling dept. Yesterday. |

I escaped CreditSolutions' clutches just in time, after finding all the information about them on the web, from the BBB complaints, to the multiple law suits filed by multiple Attorneys General, to the personal reports here and on ripoffreport.com.
The kicker was when I told the "salesperson" from CreditSolutions that I was not interested and refused to talk to him on the phone again, I got a snotty scarcastic email from him, saying that I didn't have to be so rude "after all the time he had spent explaining everything to me" (apparently his time is somehow worth more than mine) and, "I could overwhelm you with customers who are satisfied but you're not going to remember that anyways. this is the best program out there. Good luck with what you choose I hope that you don’t get screwed over and spend a lot more money even though I know you will." Sounds really professional, doesn't it?!? (The "good luck" part almost sounds sincere until you read the entire email, which I won't post). His sales pitch didn't even make sense; I explained that the only reason I was ABOUT to be in trouble with my credit cards was that they have all been at either 0% interest or 6% and my one highest card at 10%, and ALL of them (even the credit union!) have now given notice that as of 11/01/09 they're switching to the new "27.99% variable base rate" pricing (in response to the federal govt. recently cracking down on their exorbitant fees, they've all decided to charge exorbitant rates to make up for it, just before the new laws take effect). At the new rates, I will NEVER be able to pay off the cards, even though I have been doing fine until now. By the way, these are not default rates for bad customers or late payers, they are the STANDARD rates for credit cards now! (SCARY!!!) And all because our government decided to take action against them for unethical high fees and penalties (the irony). Personally, I agree with the Youtube lady who told B of A they could "put her Credit Card debt in their bailout pipe and smoke it" (in reference to the new interest rates). I find it heinous for the banks to have taken all that bailout money and still be trying to extort customers like this. They have write-offs and deductions to cover their bottom line in this economy; we individuals have nothing and no recourse to this bullying! And the banks' "out" option? --Pay off the balance in full immediately at the existing rate, before it goes up. Like anyone can do that in this economy?!? Anyway, after researching the horrors of CreditSolutions, I decided to call a local law firm to guide me. Just wanted to weigh in on this issue, since I almost made the horrendous mistake of enlisting assistance from CreditSolutions, and from the sales pitch stupidity ("They will want to settle because they know you've already paid for your entire credit card balance via the interest rates"...even though 3 of my cards were at 0%--that makes no sense) to the juvenile email retort I received when I declined to enroll, their story just left a bad taste in my mouth...and the snide email was the cake topper. Luckily, I'm a skeptic by nature, and very careful with my money. Also being scammed a few other times in life didn't hurt, either...you get used to the signs
