I'm surprised about hearing how chase is treating you guys. I was able to get on a hardship program with them that allows me to go payment free for 4 months with no interest or penalty. There is a 30 day wait period for me to start the program but on April 4th I will not have to pay 300 dollars for 4 months so I can get back on my feet. Course, I am current on the payments. They did ruin my interest rate though... I had a fixed 8.9% and I was like 1 or 2 days late and now its 17%. ><

dont be scared of settlement and its consequeces. Settlement is tough and all those things can happen. But look what choice do you have? you must do something and bk is worse than settlement.
As for your credit it will return after good behavior once your program is done. If you are still considering a good settlement company know the facts and do alot of research. They are out there but you must use caution. There are alot of scams out there. But with a good company and a positive attitude, you will be out of debt in no time. Hang in there it will be a long tough road, but its worth it in the end! |

I have found that F.I.R.E. or Financial Independence and Resource Education, may not be a member of TASC there Corperate Lawyer sits on the Board of TASC. Not only that but I did see someone else mention that New Beginnings has a A- rating with the BBB the do not they have a c+ as does F.I.R.E. but New Bennings has only been in buisness for 3 years and F.I.R.E. has been in buisness since 2002. In either case I myself went with F.I.R.E. I have bee in the program for over a year and They have done wonders for me even getting me steelements at 16% and 20%. So for anyone who wants a good Settlement company call F.I.R.E. at 1-888-866-6161
