Hi, I joined on Friday night and have been logging on this sight a least a couple times I day since.I find the infomation very helpful and inspiring. It has given me a great since of HOPE. My question is how long does it usually take a Credit Counselor to contact you? I only ask because I want to make sure I have everything I need in order before they do. I love this sight and glad I stumbled upon it.

Hi Nas

Work is often slower during weekends. You will surely hear from someone today. Take the free quote from the counselor. I hope it sounds helpful to you.

Thanks, I spoke with a counselor today. I am going to get everything in order tonight, and give them a call back tomorrow with the info they need. Hopefully they will be able to help. Nothing has been done yet but already it feels as if a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

Good! I hope everything works to your favor. What type of debts do you have? Maybe, we can also offer you some guidance and help you in decision making.

Christina,
I have three unsecured loans, and a membership to a local gym, but I only have a yr left to pay on that and that will be done. I also have some student loans but they take that payment right out of my paycheck so there is not much I can do with that one. What really started to hurt me is one of my loans I was paying about $250 a month for a yr and it was being drafted out of my checking account on the 30th of every month, but because it was not being drafted out on the 15th I was being charged a $39 dollar late fee every month, and then $5 dollars on top of that to have it drafted out of my checking account. So what was like a $1200 or $1500 dollar loan I now owe over $5000. I know I got in over my head and was paying less at first like $100 a month, so I know I have paid well over what was borrowed, I am just so ready to get some of these bills behind me and not have to live payday to payday.

I understand! Life had been a bit tough. But never mind, now that you are trying to put everything in place, think positive. You will get everything sorted out. All the best. Smile

Thanks Christina, I think I was led to this sight for a reason. It has only been a few days but I already feel the stress lifting off my shoulders. I have a postive attitude and I have faith that everything is going to work out.
