They are still allowed to take clients?!?! WOW!!! I am one of the plaintiffs in the class action against Brennan, his malpractice insurance is paying a settlement of 215,000 to be split between WELL OVER 600 plaintiffs, which means that no one will be getting what Brennan owes them. I can't even fathom how it is that this guy still has his law license, is still accepting clients, and is still ripping people off!! The lawsuit started two years ago, the Maryland AG is well aware of this guy's track record (the AG's Consumer Protection Division is in charge of paying the plaintiffs in the class action suit), and yet Brennan still hasn't been disbarred? This isn't going to end until everyone who has been screwed over by Brennan and his cronies throws a great big fit. If you've been robbed by this guy, as I have, tell everyone who will listen. File a complaint with the Maryland AG, with the state's attorney grievance board, with the BBB, call the AG in your own state, and then call CNN and your local news media to see if they will cover this. I have already done so, and I think the only reason this guy is still tricking people into giving him their money is because this scam artist hasn't been covered in the media. This is a matter of interest to any American who has any debt at all, and in these rough economic times that is just about everyone. Kick, scream and throw a fit until this matter gets the national attention it deserves!! This guy needs not only to be disbarred, he needs to be in PRISON!!!

Effective January 28, 2009, Brennan no longer gets to pretend to be an attorney!!!! I hope they throw him in prison too. And just so you know, he was not the only attorney at fault here, so now they need to nail his partners. I read on another thread here that Michael Metzner is also associated with Brennan and may be running the same sort of scam. I just talked to Metzner's office last week looking for help with the debt Brennan left me with... so glad I checked it out first. He's actually listed in our PHONE BOOK under CCCS!!!!

Your situation sounds exactally like mine!! I've had the same situation for the same amount of time. Here it's 2009 and I started all this in 2006! Thought I"d be out of debt by now! I've been waiting to hear from someone now for over 2 months!! I call and leave messages and email my paralegal and still nothing! I also started with Dustin Harkness at the Brennen Law Group an now I'm on my 3rd one since him and still nothing is settled! There has to be a way to get this resolved and make them pay for all the nerve racking they have caused! I'ts soooo unfair!! I could of been doing better myself if I'd just kept my 3 creditor's the way I was doing myself!

I have tried calling them and their phone numbers are disconnected. I am in need of some help with the situation that I am in with the Fredicklaw group. I really would like to know what is really going with Frederick Law group myself. I tried to call and the number was disconnected. I have sent several emails, but no response from anyone at all. I have been dealing with these people for a long while and I have not seen any results as far my creditors being paid. Can you anyone suggest any action that I can take against these people. I'm not seeing nothing accomplished here at all.

I have been trying since January to get a balance on our account and get a refund of all monies. Auto response on email is that Dustin is no longer employed and they will be contacting clients via phone, email or mail. Yes, there was a class action suit and FLG lost. We are awaiting the distribution of the funds, probably enough to a happy meal after the law firm gets their portion. Best advise: contact your local consumer credit counseling office. They are legit and can do much of the same as FLG and their counterparts; for a monthly fee. Also, some bankruptcy attorneys will negotiate for you; they sometimes have a free consultation.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Dustin is gone? I've worked with him for years and only had one account left! I wish he'd have stuck around to see me finish. I wonder who I'll work with now?

I am filing a complaint with the Maryland Att. Generals office. Just like all of the other emails state I to cannot get any type of responce with these people. I have settled most of my accounts on my own. I would encourage others to do the same. I have found that most of the people that I have contacted are more then willing to work with you. I do not know how to start a class action law suit, but I intend to learn. I will be in touch.

I did a little digging and found that Richard A. Brennan is no longer to practice, or advertise himself, as an attorney in the State of New Hampshire (nh.gov). I, too, was a victim of his scam.
