I received a letter from a debt collection agency which stated that i received a dismissal without prejudice. I was never served or anything like that. Do I submit a DV?

I don't see a reason for that. The collection agency couldn't come up with sufficient details to prove their authority to collect the debt and hence the case was dismissed by the court. So, till the time they gather information on the account and sue you again, they can't collect the debt. Preserve the letter for any future references.

I just don't want to get caught up in anything. So you would say do not submit in a DV, just let it ride or see if another collection agency picks up the account. I want them to know I recieved this information, but not sure what to do. Please advise. Thanks.
