Laverne--

Do you mean electronic check? If so, they can convert a paper check into an electronic check that will clear your bank account quicker.

They shouldn't be able to get into your new account, but if your new account is linked to a savings account, they possibly might be able to.

You can deal with the internet pdls yourself, most of us here have and have had success. I really hope you have your entire check this week. I know it will be nerve racking until then. This mess will soon be over and you will be on the right track. It is a hard lesson learned by many here.

Laverne--

Are you talking about the bank taking your money or the pdls?

The pdls won't care if it is your money. If they have access to your new account info, they will do debits. If they feel they can get through with a wage assignment, they will attempt it.
