I think that I'm moving forward. I closed my account today and opened a new one. I am planning to send the emails to the pdls tomorrow morning. Is it ok to just email them, or should I email, fax and mail a copy.

Also, has anyone worked with a regulator in their state or do you just submit your complaint to the AG? Does anyone have a sample of the complaint that they submitted?

To be on the safe side; email, fax, and send the letters certified. If you file a complaint with the AG's office you can do it online. It just asks you specific questions.

Laverne--

Just tell your bank that you would like to close your account because you think someone might have some of your account info, and from there , tell them you would like to open a new account

I noticed in one of your previous posts that you said your account was overdrawn. Most more than likely, you won't be able to close your account until you bring it to a positive balance.

You can go to another bank and open a new account and then switch your direct deposit to that acct. and then deal with the overdraft with the old bank. You will need to work out a payment plan with them once they close it for being overdrawn so many days. Otherwise you are going to keep going in the same circle with this pdl mess. Better to owe the bank.

my bank did not give me a hard time. they closed my current account and opened another one. They are also re-directing my direct deposits for 30 days which will give me time to advise my employer.

I am more concerned about sending the letters to the pdls tomorrow and what type of reponse I get. Any words of wisdom?

You are going to get the usual: You signed a contract agreeing to follow our laws, (that is a lie, they must follow the consumers state laws), they are going to accuse you of fraud (another lie), they may say you have a certain amount of time or somebody is coming to arrest you (ANOTHER BIG LIE) Just stand your ground, don't back down, file your complaints with the AGs office and send/e-mail/fax the settlement letters multiple times a day if you have to, you will eventually get your results. Sooner than you think.

Laverne, I don't know who you talked to, but I can tell you right now most of those in that list are NOT licensed companies.

Step one...Get to the bank and CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT. It is YOUR account, not the PDL's account..You can close it any time you feel like it, and it's not against the law. Open a new one, and give NO ONE the information.

I need you to tell me how long you've had each of those loans...Example: GFSIL-6 months, etc. and how much you've paid to them.

You can do this on your own. I did, along with many others here...And there are people on this forum that were in a LOT deeper than you.

Calm down and relax. It takes time, but you'll come through this, but you have to stay calm through it.
