Welcome to the forums. Hopefully we can help. What state are you from? Go to this link www.paydayloaninfo.org and look up your state laws. Then figure out how much in total you have paid each one of them. If it is over the max allowed by your state dont give them any more. Always pay the principal and what your state allows for intereest. Finally the last and most important thing. File complaints with Attorney General. Any body else you can think of. The more complaints the better. Best Wishes KYSIDE38

thanks so much!!i joined the forums and am glad you guys are here. i am from iowa. most of them are civil when thay call me but they are asking for more money than i can send them at once. they tell me they will not accept anything less than half of what i owe them. is that legal?i thought they had to accept any payment you could send them. im not against sending them $$ to pay off my debts but when they totally refuse to send me anything in the mail and tell me the only way they will accept money is out of an account i think these guys are totally breaking the law. how can they refuse to send me something in the mail proving that i owe them $$. im thinking its because they dont have a legal leg to stand on and they know theyre breaking the law!!! anyway i dont know the laws of my state but will do some research and find out. also i do know that if anyone has any pdls in nevada that barbara buckley is in politics and totally against them. she is in the process of passing several laws against these slimballs. i have contacted her and anyone else should also do so. the more e mails she gets the more she will probably help. i know of at least 2 of my pdl companies are in nevada. i have also contacted the governors office in my state to file a complaint. i really think if we all stand together they have to eventually do something to stop these companies!!!! good luck to all...

They will continue to call you and harass you. Did you file your complaints with your AGs office? And here it goes GUEST, I'm going to do it!........................If you haven't filed a complaint with your AG yet, you need to to that. Sorry GUEST, just me being irresponsible again.

Also Laverene, tell them your employer does not allow personal phone calls, they are supposed to stop, but they sometimes continue to call. They are legal in your state, if you still owe on the principal you should speak with them and work out a payment plan. But still file complaints with your AG because they are unlicensed lenders in your state.

Laverne--

You had said you gave your letter of revocation to your HR dept. Did you ask them if they even honor wage assignments? Make sure your HR and PAYROLL DEPT know that wage assignments are voluntary and they can be revoked at anytime. Also, it wouldn't hurt to tell the pdls that you did file a complaint with your AG's office even if you really didn't, but you should get right on it with the filing of complaints.
