Well i did my annual credit report and checked my credit history since i'm looking into debt settlement or consolidation. I found that most of my collection agency and original creditors on my experian report is no longer listed. What is going on? Is the debt not valid anymore? I'm located in chicago il.
Also can anyone recommend me to a reputable consolidator or settlement company?

Maybe they have reached the limit for your state. This would mean that they can no longer sue you for the debt. They can however still collect and may still be adding interest to the account

so basically if they send me a collection notice. they are just trying to collect on something they can't? i should then send out a vslidation notice correct?
