Default Yes, I have and Be Careful...

I helped my fiancee go through Allegro to manage her debt. Well, they promised that her credit score would be fine and even go up over time, even though she had not been late on her 3 credit cards she had. So, we signed up and 6 months later her credit score dropped from 700 to 596, needless to say, we are both frustrated with Allegro and the mis-information they gave us to get us to sign up. Your credit score WILL DROP SIGNIFICANTLY if you go through their debt management program.

Default MISINFORMATION

Here’s ANOTHER example on this forum of a FAKE post written by some WORM hiding behind a computer. If you are a REAL customer, then you are DEAF, ILLITERATE and DUMB.

That’s because REAL clients are run through a regiment of compliance INFORMING them of the pitfalls of the service. IE: Derogatory Credit Reporting, Inherent Risk Of Lawsuits, Interest Accumulation, Possible Taxes Owed On Forgiven Debt Amounts, and No Guarantees. Can you READ and HEAR DAVE C.? I think not.

If you were a REAL client you said YES, YES, YES, YES, and YES I understand this BOTH on RECORDING and on the CONTRACT. Bottom line, this forum is full of disgusting pathetic liars. You can’t believe a singe word said in this elementary school bathroom wall forum. How pathetic can you be?

THERE IS LITTLE TRUTH SOMEWHERE IN THIS FORUM, BUT FOR THE MOST IT TO BE A PLACE FULL OF MISINFORMATION AND OUTRIGHT LIES.

Default Allegro Law firm

Please beware of Allegro Law's debt/credit counseling service. The guy who introduced me to their so called debt management program lied about the interest rates that would be applied to my accounts once I was enrolled in their program. The truth is they can't even promise that they can get you a lower interest rate.

I was told that the first payment included a fee that went to Allegro and the minimum payments to my credit cards. Well, they took the whole $550 as a down payment on getting me into their program. I was under the impression that they were going to start paying my minimum payments since they were deducting money from my checking account. Again, the guy that enrolled me in the program lied about how it works and what kind of results I could expect. He even told me to stop paying my credit card companies once Allegro Law started deducting money from my account.

Three months later I had paid Allegro Law almost $1,000 and one of my cc accounts had gone to an attorney for collection and the other had been slapped with late and over the limit fees. Long story short--I paid Allegro Law $800 for them to get me $700 deeper into debt. They are a bunch of crooks who prey on people who are at the end of their rope financially. They will promise the moon and deliver nothing. The individual can negotiate the same deals with the creditors that the law firms claim to.

DON'T USE ANY CREDIT COUNSELING SERVICE!! MANY ARE IN BED WITH THE CREDIT CARD COMPANIES AND COLLECTION AGENCIES AND SOME ARE JUST PLAIN CROOKS!!!!!

BUYER BEWARE

Don't do it. They keep 3/4 of you money and only put a small amount in Escrow for you. They send one letter to your creditors and then you are on your own. Go with Credit Counselor or work directly with your creditors. They will cooperate in this economy. If you go to court Allegro does nothing and the judge will rule in favor of the money you owe.
This is written from my very own personal experience. I fired these people and out of $2400 collect they only gave me back less than $250 and I am still in the same position as I started.

To any one reading this or considering Allegro Please do not do it. They keep almost all of your money and your credit will be ruined. I swear on a stack of Bibles, they are crooks. Please protect yourself from them.

I am confused now myself for I too am working with Allegro and recently had a sheriff at my door from the collection agency. The sheriff had a summons to search all my net worth and what I owned as tangible assets to take away from me. I told them I only own a cheap broken down car that was it. I regret saying that much. I called Allegro and asked them why and how they are handling my account since I hired them to keep the dogs off. I made considerable payments so far into the program they set up for me and yet it seems they are not doing so well in keeping off the dogs the collection companies send out to annoy people. What I am not so impressed with is the first initial payment of 16% of the debt goes towards the firm and it will take a year and a half to build up the escrow before they negotiate. So I am rather frustrated with that in addition the collection agencies are using tactics to induce fear to get thier deadbeat accounts paid for. I know that the original credit company sold off the debt years ago and is basically out of the loop. So it's the battle between me and the collection company. Allegro law is saying that they will have an attorney to discuss my rights and obligations in a few days. I wonder what the results will be if any.

Default Allegro Law Firm

I have been with Allegro Law since Dec 08 for credit settlement. They have negotiated with all my creditors for lower interest rates and I pay them an additional $59 per month for their services.. I am trying to find a credit counseling firm that is reliable but does not cost so much each month.

Default its a HUGE scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE SALES REP FOR ALLEGRO LAW MADE IT ALL SOUND SO GOOD...I SIGNED UP FOR A 66 MONTH PROGRAM THAT WOULD ALLEVIATE $34,000 OF DEBT AND FOR THIS I WOULD PAY $295 PER MONTH WHICH WAS AUTOMATICALLY DEDUCTED FROM MY CHECKING ACCOUNT. THIS LYING BITCH ALLEGRO REP NAMED TERRY TOLD ME THAT OUT OF THE $295 EACH MONTH THAT I PAY ONLY $60 GOES TO ALLEGRO'S FEES SO $235 WOULD GO TO SETTLING MY DEBTS. WHAT SHE DIDNT TELL MY IS THAT FOR THE FIRST 18 MONTHS THEY KEEP ALL YOUR MONEY AND DONT START ACCUMULATING YOUR DEBT SETTLING MONEY UNTIL YOU PAY THEM SOMEWHERE AROUND $5000!!! I AM VERY PISSED AT THIS F**KED UP SCAM LYING COMPANY AND WISH TO GOD I JUST TOOK THE BANKRUPCY ROUTE. I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT IN 99% OF INSTANCES THE CREDITORS WILL NEGOTIATE WITH ALLEGRO AND NOT TAKE THE INDEBTED CUSTOMER TO COURT.. SO I GUESS I WAS EITHER ONE OF THE UNLUCKY 1% OR I WAS JUST BEING BLATANTLY LIED TO SO THE SALES REP CAN GET HER COMMISSION. I AM BEING SUED BY CITIBANK FOR $6000 AND WHEN I FIRST SIGNED CONTRACT W ALLEGRO I OWED $5100. SO IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS MY ACCOUNT WITH CITIBANK ACCUMULATED $900 IN INTEREST WHEN ALLEGRO IS SITTING ON MY $3600 THAT I PAID THEM SO FAR. THIS $3600 THEY SAID IS SUPPOSED TO GO INTO AN ESCROW ACCOUNT UNTIL ENOUGH MONEY WAS GATHERED TO PAY OFF SOME OF MY DEBT. WHEN REALLY ONLY $76.00 WENT INTO THE ESCROW AFTER 12 WHOLE MONTHS!!!!!! THE REST WENT TO "MISCELLANEOUS FEES". THIS IS HOW THEY MAKE THEIR MONEY. ITS A SCAM. THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF INDEBTED PEOPLE. PLEAASE PPL READ THE CONTRACTS CAREFULLY AND SEEK OTHER AVENUES OF DEBT RELIEF... GOOD LUCK!!

Default Allegro Law Firm LLc

After a year of paying lot's of money that I thought most of which was accumulating in escrow to negociate settlement on accounts only 1/3 went into escrow and 2/3rds was applied to attorney fees and they did nothing but send a few letters!!The only money they will refund so far is my escrow amount. This should be considered piracy on land! Something should be done to regulate the recruting techniques of companies feeding on people who have fallen on hard times due to the practices of these big banks.
