Please keep us posted as to what the outcome of this "fiasco" ends up being. I sent money for an entire year and yes, I did terminate the deal with Allegro - when I learned they were under receivership....who would have continue sending money if they knew Allegro was accused of fraud? The Receivership "expected" people to continue sending money - on an email sent to me, and I repplied to him that is idiotic......so, hopefully we can recover some - if not all, of our monies -

I have been in the Allegro Law Firm ever since Apr. 2008, and finally found out that they were being sued and thought it was strange that the end of last quarter of last year I was not being able to talk nor get in touch with them. Found out on line
they were a ripoff and was getting sued. Had a lot invested going with this Firm. So disappointed, confused, angry, and now untrustworthy for help. Since I had talked to Mr. Colley's secretary and got what to do and send everything as soon as possible. Now waiting for more of the answers to what to do. Was under contract, paid $425.00 upfront, plus the
monthly fee of escrow of $392.00 a month, and now I have lost over $5,000.00 . And have got 2 summons, last year and this year. This makes me sick. And since I am a disabled body on top. This is a shame.
I am praying for this matter and of others also to be worked out and we can go in life as should.
By the way I was told I did not have to file a complaint with the Attorney General office in Alabama but just send in what I had with Mr. Colley. Thank you Mr. Colley
for your help.

I can not tell you to use these people. I have been with them for over a year and when my checking account was hacked back in December, I had to change my account and now they are dropping me because I sent them a check and can not get them on the phone to talk with me about this. None of their phone numbers apparently work as you are placed on hold forever.

This is the update to the 01-06-2010 email sent from the receiver's office. Please read and as you can see there is not enough money to give a full refund to all clients. So people, if you haven't, please call and give your name to the receiver's office so that you could be on their refund list. Even if we get a small refund is better than not getting any at all.

UPDATE 01-06-2010
Now that the receivership case has been remanded from Federal Court to State Court, a hearing has been set on January 25th, 2010. At this hearing it is anticipated the Court will address any challenges the owners of Allegro Law may have concerning the establishment of the receivership. If the receivership remains in place, the process will begin for establishing a refund procedure. There are not enough assets available for a complete refund of client payments. An accounting is ongoing to determine what potential refunds are available.
As stated in the past, debt management agreements are continuing unless the client terminates those agreements and some debt settlements are being accomplished.
A new update will be posted on January 26tth, 2010.

thanks for keeping us posted on the due date of the next court......

if they are going to base the refunds on "people being current and active" then we ALL are screwed... the moment each of us learned that these crooks were under receivership, we simply stopped sending payments, who would have continued? or under which rock does one have to be under, to not know what is going on with these scam dogs?

I sure as hell terminated the agreement, I believe the moment Allegro breached the honesty under which they proclaimed to function, they id the first termination....we simply did not continue to "throw our pearls to the hogs? - that is how each one of our cases needs to be revised, not based on being 'still under agreement' - that is a load of crap...which agreement? - the one Allegro Law first breached by stealing?

I have been a client of theirs for the last two years and I have been sued by one of my creditors. Allegro I believe will work if you can quickly payoff your debts (two year max) but with anything taking longer than that you are at an huge risk. Good Luck and God Bless!

Latest update from the receiver's office. Again, please make sure that you contact the receiver's office and have your name placed on the mailing list.

1/28/2010 - Update 01-28-2010
UPDATE 01-28-2010
A hearing was held before Judge Ben Fuller in the Circuit Court of Autauga County, Alabama on January 25th, 2010. Indications from the Court are that the Receivership will be made permanent and plans can move forward with the winding up of the business. As stated before it is anticipated the debt management plans will continue so long as the clients choose and their payments remain current.
Debt settlement plans are being evaluated on a client by client basis to determine what money remains in escrow for potential refund to the client and/or the possible settlement of at least some outstanding debts. A direct mailing will be made to all clients in the near future informing them of their options. Each debt settlement client is again reminded that the funds frozen by the Court will be insufficient to refund all money paid in by client.

Thanks, mgtc36, for this update.
I know this is a little crazy, but being a woamn of faith, I still stand in agreement that one of these days I am going to recover my money and these crooks will have to burn in hell for eternity. It is icredible that in this great country, with reponsible people, attempting in a spirit of responsibility, to pay their dues to the best of their abilities, and they scam us and take our money and simply think they are going to get away with it. That Louis individual, doubt has the authority or backbone for that matter, to fight much for us.....please, please, all stand in agreement that they will be taken for ALL they have and return to us....

Do please, keep us posted on what is happening. thanks a lot

Help! Oddly, Allegro's New York address is on my credit reports listed as MY current address. I have read of others this has happened to. What did you do to get it removed from your credit reports? I have tried disputing with all 3 of major credit bureaus only t be told that I have to dispute directly with the creditor that reported the incorrect address. I have contacted all of my creditors and they all tell me that they report my correct current address and that they didn't report Allegro's address as mine. This leaves me to believe that the retarded assholes @ Allegro did this. I've tried mailing them letters about this, but of course, I get no response! I've also talked with several people @ various phone #'s for credit bureaus and no one can tell me exactly who (which creditor) reported Allegro,s address. WTF! What CAN I do ? If anyone has the solution or advice, pleas email me @ 6083353387@att.blackberry.net. Thank you and oood luck to all of us!

Help! What can I do to get Allegro's NY address off MY credit reports? When I tried disputing with credit bureaus, they tell me address was reported by creditor or prospective creditor, therefore, I had to dispute Allegro's address with the creditor directly. Yet, the credit bureaus don't know (or won't tell me) which creditor reported the incorrect address.
