I just wanted to let everyone know, I had a concern last week and I called FDRS client care and my problem was handled immediately. I am very thankful for there quick response in helping my needs. I am also still very happy with FDRS legal team. They are great and I have yet to have any problems at all. Every time I have a concern I call FDRS or their legal team and they take care of everything in a quick manner. All I hear are complaints about FDRS and I don't get it, I have had nothing but good luck with them, those of you that want to get rid of your credit card debt I would highly reccomend them. You MUST follow their directions in order for the program to work properly, but if you do you will have no problems. If your willing to be proactive about your debt this program will work, but if your not then your out of luck. Im less than 6 months away from completed the program and am confident that I will be the first person on this forum that will be a satisfied client of FDRS..... Only time will tell, but I will keep you all posted. Those of you in the program- good luck and let FDRS and their legal team do the work for you. Do as they tell you and you will be as happy as I am. Talk to you later.

I believe the Federal debt relief System is the perfect scam because when the credit card companies, collection agencies and banks start suing you (like they are me!!) The Federal Debt Relief System or FDRS.org is not responsible. And since they are dealing with people with money problems there is little risk for them getting sued. Fortunately my brother in-law is an attorney so he is taking my case. Unfortunately, the company is set up in a way that it’s hard to go after them so I'm suing this lady Veronica who “enrolled me”, but something is better than nothing.

I've never used FDRS, myself. But...I HAVE read different opionions, about them, on the forum. I don't think anyone TRULY "hates" ANY company. People just post the experience they have had with different ones. Not ALL companies work for everyone. I've posted a few negative experiences, with certain companies....yet, they 'work' for other people.

The BBB gave this company [Federal debt relief System] a rating of "F", what does this rating mean?
| Quote: | F We strongly question the company’s reliability for reasons such as that they have failed to respond to complaints, their advertising is grossly misleading, they are not in compliance with the law’s licensing or registration requirements, their complaints contain especially serious allegations, or the company’s industry is known for its fraudulent business practices.
|
| Quote: | BBB Comments and Analysis:
We urge caution. This company's website advertises that it provides financial freedom to those in debt. They use photos of famous past presidents, an american eagle symbol, and purport to be patriots disillusioned with the banking system in the US who have taken on the dangeous and vital task of educating the American public to the truth. This company is not affiliated with the US Government.
We advise caution against sending money to this company. Our experience with similar offers has been that they attract heavily indebted clients by claiming to be able to settle the clients’ debts for far less than the amount owed and to stop creditors’ calls. They often claim, also, that their services are more effective than those provided by credit counseling services.
These companies usually instruct their clients to stop paying their creditors. Some companies direct them to make their payments to the debt negotiation company instead and promise, when the company has accumulated enough to offer a cash settlement to one or more creditors (which can take as long as two or three years), to pay off the debt. The debtor must pay fees to the service during the time the payments are accumulating.
Other companies simply collect the fees and advise debtors to save their money to pay their creditors themselves. California law limits the amount of fees debt negotiators can charge you, but by not collecting the money and distributing it to your creditors for you, companies can remove themselves from the limiting statutes and charge whatever they wish. What they are supposed to do for you while you’re saving up your money is to contact your creditors and inform them that they’re working with you, negotiate the amount to settle your debt, and ask them stop contacting you.
However the company operates, though, complainants allege that creditors continue to harass them, fees and interest continue to accumulate, the companies do not contact the creditors, creditors increase their collection efforts and sometimes sue for payment, the debtor’s credit is ruined, and they end up worse than before they contacted the service.
Debtors may not realize that if their creditors do accept a negotiated settlement, the amount forgiven constitutes taxable income. |
| Quote: | Complaint Experience
Complainants allege unfulfilled contracts, misappropriation of funds, and misrepresentation of services. Customers complain they send monthly amounts to the company believing their bills were being paid, when in fact; no bills were paid on their behalf. Other complainants report they are advised not to deal with their creditors, but soon find themselves being sued for the amount of the debt. Most complainants request refunds.
The company responds to most complaints by disputing complaint allegations, and accusing the customer of failing to comply with the terms and conditions of their agreement. The company reminds clients that the contract makes no guarantees to the success of the program, |

What does an F rating with the BBB mean? Nothing. My business has an F rating and I have one complaint. The BBB is not a government intity. They make you pay to join or they will give you a bad grade. Extortion. I am with Fdr now because my sister used them and got out of debt. When I started I had some problems too with getting them. The guy told me they had to hire a whole big client care division because they got so big so fast. Now it's alot better. I always get someone now. I asked the guy. He said people don't do what they are supposed to then they complain and blame them. The trick is to do it like they tell you. It's not hard. Why do they only have 45 complaints in almost 5 years and they have an F? Extortion. Looks to me like the better you are the more people attack you. I will post good or bad on here then and will post when I am done. Maybe all these bad things are being posted by their competitors ho can't get you out of debt as good or by banksor bill collectors. I learned so much from their website and from the DVDs they send every month. My husband invites his friends over to watch them every time we get one. If you are in the program just make sure you do the things they tell you. The BBB site says they refunded a lot of people's money. How could they be a scam? Just sour grapes.
Here's a quote for you that reminds me of this situation:
"When a true genius appears in the world, you will know him by this sign. A confederacy of dunces will rise in opposition to him." Johnathan Swift
Well thats not it exactly, but pretty close and it appears that the "dunces" have come out of the woodwork on this one. Too bad that the dunces will probably keep a lot of people from getting out of debt by saying these guys are a scam. Good going.....if you like what the credit card companies are doing to people and ruining lives. You are helping the banks bleed us.

Believe what you want but every one knows this is a scam and that is why the other debt termination companies out there have already been shut down and FDRS is next.
FDRS has an F rating and bad reputation for several reasons.
20 of the 44 complaints with the BBB are unanswered which means they ignore the complaint brought to them from the BBB as opposed to trying to resolve the issue. They also have lots of complaints from rip off report.com and tons of other sites. Just Google the name " Federal debt relief System " and see what pops up. Also Google the words " Debt Termination ". There are tons of articles exposing this scam.
Any company that pretty much does all its advertising on government conspiracy web sites like Genesis Communications Network can't actually be trusted.

Yeah and I read the other forum which is now locked. Good thing. It looked like it was getting out of hand with everyone just insulting each other and not getting anything done. I have to say I agree with the guy that said Mobile looks pretty fishy. He's everywhere and has so much info about where to file conplaints. Must be a bill collector or a competitor whose program doesn't work. I will let everyone know how mine goes. So far I'm impressed. I as worried at first and still am a little. It's scary, but it worked for my sister. I will try to get her to post onm here. But she runs a daycare so it's hard for her. Her debt was like $18,000 but mine is a lot more. But back to the subject. Why is Mobile so obsessed with them unless he works for the banks or has a program that can't work?? I also noticed people assume a lot that they really don't know. Taht's too bad for people who could use them to get out of debt. Oh ... and guess what else I found out. One of the owners of the BBB in SoCal also owns a debt consolidation comany!! Maybe he's Mobile?

See? Well it's happening again. no real, constructve feedback. Well I don't know the guy ( David Ickes) or the TV show that he (Mobile) mentioned but I do know who Dr. Carroll Quigley is and he talks about the new world order. But that's beside the point I will hope this one stays open because I will post about everyting that happens and when I finish if anyone is really interested. Sounds like this forum is just for people who want to trash the company because they are bill vollectors or something.
