Hello All,
I have compared over 10 companies and they seem to me to be the best:
13.5 fees
Fees spread out over 19 months
Credit Repair program after program
I'm still hesitant because of hearing all the negatives about these programs.
My questions:
Has anyone had sucsess with this company
Any horror stories
Brother in law who is sucsessful businessman says all these companies are scams and never work.
After the programs completion can these debts rear their ugly heads
Would appreciate any info

I'd research the company here as well. Type in the company in the search bar & you will see all the posts people have made about that company. I don't know if you checked out BBB-but if you have not you should. Ripoffreport is good and also just plain Google.
In general people have had success with what ever plan they went wtih. Just research the heck out of it first!

Try shopping with these few companies . New Beginnings debt settlement LLC , Century Negotiations and Superior debt relief. These companies all are members of the BBB and are members of USOBA or TASC. I am not endorsing these companies but I know they have a solid reputation and you won`t get ripped off.

I myself have tried FDR, for 19 months exactly, needed help
with 3 accounts. Payments per month $500.00, first
6-8 months I was still received harassing phone calls from creditors.
One account was arbitrated, did not have to do anything
with that but, once the acct is turned over to an Attorney
in your state you are basically screwed unless you have
money in the bank. As I told FDR, if I had the money I
would not have called you for help. I had $4180 banked
in the FDR account, they could not get the atty to come
down to resolve the account. They instead wanted me
to come up with 3,000 to settle the account once
they drained my FDR account. That came out to
be more than I owed originally on the account. That
left me with zero balance in my FDR account in order
to settle the other two accounts. I, in no way, could
come up with the $3,000 to settle the account. Then
of course, I could see down the line that the other
two accounts were turned over to attorneys and
there would not be any funds in the account to settle
these. I was basically screwed in this case. They
in no way can help you once an attorney is involved. The
only significant balance deductions are available if
a collection agency is involved. So my choice was be
sued or file bankruptcy...I'm sure you can figure what I
am pursuing..bankruptcy. I should have done it sooner, they
kept over $5,000 in 19 months as fees and did nothing more
than what I could have done myself. Furthermore, my
brother is going through the same problem at the
moment and he is getting sued for a bill which started at
$1200.00 but is now up to $1800.00 and they cannot even
settle that account. He has to go to court with no help
whatsoever from FDR. Hope this info helps you, but FDR
will basically throw you under the bus in the end.

Slihawk,
BBB and are members of USOBA or TASC or any other affiliations means nothing. Negotiate your own debt and keep your hard earned money by your side.

That is true jedi . BBB , TASC and USOBA means nothing to someone who has no idea what they are talking about. All you do is post negative things about any company in the industry. Just because some companies are bad doesn't mean all are. There is nothing wrong with hiring a settlement company to help you if you choose to not settle on your own.

Relying on group members that are making recommendations to other companies is a bad idea. Ask the member if they will guarantee the company they are recommending 100%. Make sure you get that in writing but before you do and then remember that nothing is guaranteed. You have one shot at this and if you make the wrong decision, you are screwed because some of these companies are growing so fast with the economy the way it is and with salespeople on the forums, that you could easily be assigned someone new in the office that is going through a divorce and are having health issues and accidently drop the ball on a few things through the course of a day and then you are in big trouble......woops, the account just got charged off and went to collections........sorry.
Rather than flipping a coin or taking the advice of someone you don't even know, see a reputable local attorney about helping you out if you get in a pinch and study up on this site and others how you can do it yourself. You will be money in the bank and at least know what is going on with your own finances versus allowing someone else to possibly get it all screwed up and charge you some hefty fees in the process. Be Careful Out There......... Worst case scenerio is that they will steal all of your money and leave you in financial ruin with everything charged off and everything in collections. Good luck

Please disregard negative anonymous posts from this guest . This same individual posts under different names and responds to their own posts. This person is a coward who is just here to start trouble and has no clue what they are talking about. Its easy to make accusations when you can hide posting as a guest. He or she just posted basically the exact same thing on other thread.
This person is just anti debt settlement and assumes every debt settlement company is corrupt.

Slihawk, I have not worked with Freedom debt relief and when I talked with them during my research phase, they quoted me a long program. Plus they were taking a bit portion of the payment for their fees. So I was a little apprehensive on going with them. Plus for me "used car salesman" do help me they hurt me...the guy I spoke with called me everyday pushing to give a committment right there. Finally told him to stop calling I was not interested, when I did that made things worse he went off on a tyraid. Worse awful experience. I have posted my experiences about Superior Debt Services they helped me when I needed sincere, honest help not stories or pushy service either. When I spoke to them it was amazing and the most education I got from any other person that I spoke with. She is knows her stuff. Good luck with your quest and do other research besides this site. i also went to the arbitrator site where they get their certificate.

mobile, thank you for helping with some clarification and direction. Especially when others have no clue what or where to go. Have been reading some of your posts and you have tried to stay neutral and certainly apprecitate that.
Jedi not sure if you are the same guest, but I think you might be where you were a victim of a program that took full advantage of you. I'm sorry they did that to you, I too was a victim but now I'm almost done with my settlement program. I accept full responsibility for enrolling in a program that told me everything I wanted to hear without focusing on what they were not telling me. After some thought and reflection, I have to accept some responsbility because I was honestly told about debt settlement and refused to listen because it had some stuff I did not like. I'm glad that you are bringing about some light to have those looking for help stress reseach.
