Hello -
I'm in the process of signing on with a debt reduction/settlement company. Here's my question: do all such companies require up front fees (in my case 5 months worth) before they begin paying actual debt? If not all of them do, where can I find alternative agencies?

If you don't mind what company are you going with.
Did you research before signing? There are many companies that are good but more that are bad. The one I went with required me to start paying monthly fees before they did any work. And when it was all said in done, they didn't do much more work after that.

some do some don't...if not upfront, then they will probably take it out of each month's payment...which probably ends up being the same in the end. just check to see what amount in the end you actually end up paying for fees with whomever you choose to go with.
