Is there any way to reduce this debt? They are threatening to garnish my already extremely low wages.

Owenmax, this is not a forum to solicit business. And no reputable lender would advertise in this manner.

Mel, have you contacted Direct Loans to see if you can conslidate your loans? It may not be too late, and if they garnish you will not get any notification it will just happen and it is usually 10-15% of your net pay. I suggest contacting Direct Loans to see if you can still consolidate, like I said it may not be too late if they haven't started garnishing, you can apply online.
