can I settle a debt after receiving a writ of garnishment on my bank account? they frozed my account and only have $800 and my debt is higher.
I settle with them for $8,900, paid them $5,000 and still they garnished my bank account.

Do you have an agreement in writing that spells out specific payment terms (dates, amounts)?
