Sooo, as i explain to my husband several weeks ago the details of debt settlement. He says to me........."oh, that's what happened with our gas bill."
me - "mmm, what?"
husband - "remember, with late payments the bill was $180. we couldn't pay it so we kept waiting for them to turn off the gas. They gave us two different notices to shut it off and we were thinking how weird, they still haven't done it. Then they offered us a one time payment of $40 to get it going."
me - "oh my goodness, I totally forgot about that!"
****Just wanted to share. Now, I don't recommend not paying your gas bills, but we did not have enough money and were willing to do without for a couple months if need be. Kind of exciting that we had our first settlement success w/o even realizing it.
