My now ex-wife ran up over $20,000.00 on two of my credit cards without my knowledge until it was too late. Palisades is now coming after me. I was told that since I'm retired they can not do anything to me except harass me.Is this true?
Thanks for your help.

If your retirement funds are not co-mingled, you shouldn't have a problem. Also, what state are you in?

Are you a home owner? Do you use a bank account? Do you have any assets? These are things that, unless it is out of the SoL, that they can use in court to get a lien against. My suggestion would be to go file a police report for fraud. She will probably go to jail but at least you won't have to worry about it anymore.
