I would like to know how I start getting organized with my debt? I dont know who half the companies are that want to collect payments, or how to contact them. Is there a way to find out who I owe money too so that I can make a plan.

First of all you should obtain a copy of all three of your credit reports and go over them with fine tooth comb. Everyone is entitled to one free credit report a year just go to annualcreditreport.com and go from there.

Yes, just like ladybug said above. First thing you need to do is get a copy of ALL 3 credit reports. You will then need to find out if the debts still belong to the original creditor or if they are in collections, charged off, etc.
Congrats on taking the first step. I know others will have more to add.
