Has anyone ever found the government grants they keep talking about on t.v.? Are there really any for help with debt that you know of?

I think they would be very limited. The amount of issues our country is having, honestly do not believe that grants would be available for people to use to apply towards their debt. Just read an article that non-profits are having a tough enough time with finding creative ways to continue their operations without grants because of the economy. Dont spend too much of your precious time searching for something that is non-exisitent.

Why are you counting on the govt. Go for some debt settlement programs.

I did a little bit of research once upon a time on this subject, and it looked pretty much like a scam to me. As I recall, you pay someplace money to get a list of grants that you can apply for, then you have to fill out a bunch of paperwork to apply for them, and MAYBE you will qualify. And also, as I recall, people were saying that there really aren't grants for paying off debt, you have to qualify for a grant under some other criteria.
