The J. Hass group took 1800 in fees, and did nothing for me but send 2 power of attorney letters. I was not able to get any money back either. If you research them they are members of the BBB but have many complaints listed as "resolved" All that means is they dropped it due to not enough evidence.

Please be careful!

Sub: J.Haas is a rip off company

You do not have to go with a debt settlement program. You can negotiate yourself with the credit card companies. Save yourself money. Give it directly to the credit cards you owe and not to some swindler debt settlement program. this company took over 7,000 dollars of my money and settled one debt for 500.00. Due to lack of communication another settlement was disqualified and reverted to its original amount for lack of payment. Now that I no longer am sending them money monthly they do not even bother to return my phone calls requesting copies of all my transactions with them. They will call you daily to get you to sign up and take your money tho! They do have a rating with the BBB and it is a well deserved F! Check it out.

Sub: J. Haas group has a F rating with the BBB

They hustle hard to get you to sign up, when they mess up they resfuse to return calls, ever. Sent them over 7500 dollars over the course of a year. they settled one account for 500 dollars and messed up another settlement due to lack of communication, refuse to return any money or calls or send any reference of transactions. F rating with the BBB. Just negotiate with the credit card companies yourself. That is how I ended up doing it . Wish someone had told me I could do it myself a year ago.

This company is now being investigated by the attorney generals office. They should not even be collecting money from anyone at this time. The office will be closed down! Go with someone who has at least an A rating with the BBB. J. Haas has an F!

TASC is a joke....Google their board members and u will see most of them are scammers and have AG and FTC backgrounds....the BBB is a joke as well especially in orange county ca, as the head BBB guys owns a non profit credit counseling agency....so he rates all debt settlement companies an F.....Bottom line is if you are in debt and cant double or triple payments you are F'd already. Either pay the debt the rest of your life.....file Bankruptcy or hopefully find a good company....bottom line is - its your debt and your problem.

Sub: dont sign up!

so i have been with then since feb of 2008 and now i am getting sued with my wages garnished bc they ignored my wells fargo credit card. I am suffering bad bc of there mistakes and along with it they only settled 1 of my accounts. they have refuesd/neglected my accounts for many with low balance settlements and when I asked about if the lawyers can help that was a joke., I have gotten out of the program bc for me it was a scam and they only hurt me more then helped me. I am doing this on my own now and fighting with the collecters and thus far i have setlled two of my accounts. Its easy and the book called debt cures really helps understand what to do.

j hass does not care about you. j hass wants your money. if you get sued by your creditors, j hass will not shield you from legal action. j hass cannot magically multiply your money and cannot force your creditors to accept a settlement that you yourself could not negotiate. the only people who are successful on j hass' program already had the means to settle their own accounts and simply paid j hass for nothing. j hass preys on the misery, desperation and ignorance of others. stay very very far away from j hass.

I tried to "work it out" with my credit card company, and they wanted to know if I had any RELATIVES that could loan me the money. Then he advised me to get to use another low interest card to pay them off, so basically they did nothing in the way of offering me a realistic settlement. I've paid 3 of 30 - $594 payments to JH, I hope this works for me, I should be debt free in 2012 when the world ends, ha!

One year, $4,300 in fees, and one law suit later, I'm heading to the Arizona AG and my state AG - and most likely the Arizona Bar.

Sub: Stay away from haas!

Haas is being investigated by the FBI for fraud - they have been using their clients' savings fund for their own purposes - apparently having cash flow problems which mean - STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!! There are plenty of other upstanding debt settlement companies in Scottsdale who have longevity and credibility.

I'm sooo confused and unsure what to do about this company...i have signed up to work with them and I have creditors calling me constantly telling me that JDH has not contacted them to say they are working with me yet. I feel like I threw a bunch of money away. I just got a new companies number and I'm, going to check them out and see what they say! Man I hate this!

DO NOT use any company that has anything to do with Jason D. Hass. His company has a BBB rating of F, he is on probation with the AZ Bar Association. Had 13 complaints with the bar 4 still standing. I spoke with a live person at the bar to confirm all this. You should too.
