BTW, I am using that spelling on purpose.....

Something is wrong with the web site because it is not making a page 4 number.

Jason D. Hass is mentioned in the article in the previous link.

I wrote this in another post that doesn't show upO NOT use any company that has anything to do with Jason D. Hass. His company has a BBB rating of F, he is on probation with the AZ Bar Association. Had 13 complaints with the bar 4 still standing. I spoke with a live person at the bar to confirm all this. You should too.

I started with them in April of 2007, and I have just reached the final settlement, on my last credit card....they have successfully settled 24K in credit card debt for around 13K, including their fees.

They are sometimes hard to get a hold of, I will grant you that, some days you need to leave a message and wait for a return call, but if you understand the program, read through how it works, and sign the contract, you will find that it works, they do a good job, and although it takes some time, it has saved me probably 20K if you add in what I would have ended up paying in interest, etc.

It is not a scam, and it has worked for me. They are accredited by the BBB. And it took almost a year before the first account was settled, because you have to pay their fee upfront, understandable, and you have to have enough cash in your trust account to be able to negotiate with....that takes time...also your accounts need to go into charge off before they can be negotiated down.

I would also like to add, that while you could do this on your own, at once point Citibank did file a lawsuit against me, and having a law firm, and the trust account helped to settle that out of court....JDH did all the settling for me, I did not have to hire a separate attorney.

I did start before the economy went down the tubes...so things may have changed, but this was a great help for me.

I have another post with my experiences, almost temped to leave my email address for proof of my sincerity, like I said, you have to be patient, you have to do the program, but I have been with them just under 2 years, and have just settled the last debt, saving me thousands, and in no way could I have done what they did for me, or paid off my debt on my own in that time period.

I think it's like any other progam, whether weight loss, life change, etc.....if you understand how it works, commit to it, do what you are supposed to do, and follow through, it works....if you drop out, get impatient, etc...then no it won't work.

It worked for me and I for one am grateful, the light at the end my my debt tunnel is brighter and I am almost out!

If everyone summons you to court before the third year how can you not be debt free in under three years.???.. The pain you are referring to is probably the pain of you having to settle your own cases and paying someone else that was suppose to assist you in settling the debt... I am a customer and I'm getting out while I'm ahead... I'm tired of putting food on JHaas dinner tables while I'm struggling to buy a decent meal for my kids.

Get out while you can.

They are NOT BBB accredited but they have a "F" grade.
The lawyer who runs the outfit is on probation with the AZ Bar. Look it up yourself.

Google "J. Hass" + the word "complaints."

Just ended my contract with JDHass yesterday. They are a SCAM!!!!! I paid over $6000 to them and was told that two of my three debts were paid off. Come to find out yesterday after speaking with those two creditors (which JDHass told me never to do) that they had never received any payment or settlement in regard to my accounts. In the contract JDHass says all disputes will be settled by the National Arbitration Forum. The NAF has been found by the Minnesota Attorney General to be involved with the debt settlement companies and rules in their favor for financial gain for both parties. Google the NAF and you will find the specifics. On July 20, 2009, the NAF said they will not be handling disputes between the debt settlement company and consumers anymore, stating other reasons. JDHASS is a SCAM!!! Get out. Cancel the automatic deduction from your checking or savings account and do not give them any more money. Call the creditors your self and work with them. JD HASS lied to me and told me my debts were paid, they were not!!!!! I had more than enough money in my accounts to pay my debts plus had paid all their fees, and had settlement offers from the creditors that I received in mail and forwarded to JDH to settle--they never did!!!! Do not believe these people who say stick with it, it does not work!!! Sticking with it means JDHASS gets more of your money--question these people who say it works, stick it out!! The employees at JDH lie.

If you have had a good experience with JDH your one of the lucky few!

At first it seems like everything is working like they told you it would.

Once they get all their fees paid or close to it, your not important to them anymore.

If they do settle debt accounts for you it's not 40%,50% or 60% of your original debt. It's that percent of what the debt has increased to after all the accrued interest, while they sat on their behinds.

If you feel lucky go ahead & sign with them, hope you don't get sued like I did.

I would put a gun to my head before getting involved with them again.

This company is a rip off, i'm deeper dept than when i first started, and in the process of being sued for non payment. When i contacted j hass for this matter , they told me to make a deal with the creditor, i paid them to do. How ever the payment is now more than what it was. I should have continue to struggle on my own. Now j hass calls continuely because i no longer pay them. If anyone is thinking of using this company i pray you think again
