I looked into using a settlement company before finding this site.

And J. Hass has feeder lawyers that funnel clients to them. Read the contract closely and you'll see that the feeder lawyers are not listed anywhere in it. It seemed to be the same with each contract I read.

You can do the debt settlement yourself, save that 15% and get out of debt a lot quicker!!!

Good Luck.

JDH took 50% of my monthly payment and accomplished very little. They even took money out of my account after I notified them in writing and by certified mail that they were no longer authorized to take any funds and they were no longer representing me.
I paid them a total of $12,772.84. They settled with one credit card company for $3,800.00 leaving them very overpaid for the amount of work they did. I also was sued by 2 credit card companies with no response to the companies from JDH or attempt to negoitiate to keep the companies from going to court.
Please keep your money. They will rip you off without even blinking!!

Please understand that J Haas Group is a collector group for the attourneys that feed clients into it.

I recieved a contract from a Houston lawyer whose name was never mentioned on the contract.

Read the print and do it your self!

The only thing this company really does is send out power of attorney letters to your creditors. These letters do not even look professional, look like they have been photo copied about a million times. They don't really do any negotiating for you, any settlement offer from a creditor they just relay it to you.

The creditor sets the terms of the settlement, which usually requires you to pay out of pocket money. This money is in addition to whatever is in the trust account the debt settlement company had set up for you. If you can not afford to pay the amounts demanded by the creditor, they just sue you. The debt settlement company just say's "sorry" & continues to take your money for their fees.

Maybe I'm just unlucky, but the debt settlement reps that handled my account were dumber than a box of rocks. They got me sued because they didn't understand how the debt collection process works once a creditor files a lawsuit against you.
Beleive me it is not that difficult to understand, a grade school kid could figure it out.

Forgot to mention that if you have been burned by this company.
File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commision & the AZ attorney general.
It's easy to do & you can do it online.

Anyone that has used this company needs to compare your original agreement with them.

I found out that they had changed the amount of their fees that was being deducted from my trust account. They did this without my permission. Of course they expect you to honor the stipulatons of the original contract, what about them?

I know of others who have had the same experience, who knows how many more they have done this to.

They need to be stopped, report them to the BBB, FTC & AZ attorney general or maybe class action is in order.

They mislead customers.

They tell you to stop paying creditors.

Even though they also state the same on their website, they denied it in an article in the Philadelphia weekly. See more info at getoutofdebtguy.org

They settled all my debts at at least 1/2 their original amount if not a lot less than that. I was always able to to talk to a human and they would call me just to check on things and to see if I had heard from any of my creditors. In fact, even though I am all paid into the program, they are still calling me to make sure I haven't heard anything from debt collectiong agencies. My credit score has gone up and I'm a happy customer.

For those of you that may still beleive this is an honest DSC

Look! it appears they have changed their company name again, just in time as the new federal regulations for DSC go into effect.

Check it out yourself, the new name is The Fingo Group & it has the exact same address as the J. Hass Group. Also one of their board members just happens to go by the name Michelle Hass.

The BBB in most states is a joke. Just because a company is a member doesn't mean they are reputable. The biggest joke is this Haas group actually has people believing he is helping them. Check your bureaus; all the accounts this company is supposedly helping you with are R9 and charge offs. Better off flushing your cash.......

My Brother has paid this group in excess of $10,000.00 over a two year period, and they have not settled with any of his creditors, and kept $4,500.00 of his money instead of the $1,500.00 they said it would cost him. My brother was sued by one of the creditcards companies the group was "negotiating with" and his wages are now being garnished at $600.00 per month, which is $150.00 more than he was paying the group. He will be calling the AG office today or Monday.

I DO work for this company for over a year and I can honestly say debt settlement works....for the right person/profile...
However, God forbid you are served a summons and are being sued you are S.O.L!
We have so many legal accounts that have not even been touched, many in our office longer than a year.
Suddenly you are garnished and you think J Hass is in your corner? LOL....WRONG!
we cant do anything once you are garnished.
J Hass makes many promises they do not keep. The company really cares only about themselves and does not treat their empoyees well.
If the program works its because the negotiator makes it work not the company and for doing this all we get is constant insults and write ups and lousy pay.
Rarely do they acknowledge our good work.
I am trying to get out because it is clear J Hass will not make it in this tough industry.
Be very careful about the debt settlement company you choose.
READ the contracts and always get everything they tell you in writing to protect yourself.
Good luck

I too was an amployee of J Hass who DID change their name to fingo. The company DOESNT Care about you- if your debts are settled its because the UNDERPAID and UNDERAPPRECIATED negotiator and customer service reps setttled it for you.
They recently fired EVERYONE in their Scottsdale office (except a few people) and moved their main office to the Phillipines (notice its a little difficult to understand your new "team")
I would suggest to GET OUT NOW! this company is going under. Their rich CEO's care about no one but themselves. Their employees were miserable and couldnt wait until the close-down date.
You can settle the debt yourselves, just dont let the creditors tool with you! Good luck!
