6 months with no result, when I called & emailed to find out what was going on & to ask for some sort of proof as to what was being done, they avoided my phone calls & emails, I am trying to get my money back, but it is taking forever & they keep refusing to return my money.

Most of the time you will not get your first settlement within the first 6 months with most settlement companies unless you had a small balance cc in the program. Usually you are paying the first 2-3 payments in fees and them you have to allow time for the settlement funds to accumulate. How many month program were you doing and how much debt did you enroll with them ? Also how much was their fees ?

They are a good company . They are members of The Association of Settlement Companies " TASC " and the BBB. Just understand that no matter what settlement company you will not see results over night. You have to be patient and stick with the program. It can take at least 6-8 months usually to see your first settlement depending on how fast of a program you are doing and how large your balances are on your debts.

I have been with them for 8 months and one account just got settled. I was getting worried since 8 months had passed, but at last, the process was finally moving along since money had to build in my trust fund account. I have found them to be professional, knowledgeable, and always prompt in returning my phone calls. I never felt that I'm flushing my money into the land of oblivion where no one is on the other end. They are not a member of the BBB because paying a member's fee doesn't mean anything. What you want to look for is complaints filed with the BBB, not whether they're members In addition, if you visit their website, you'll see that they're certified with the federal government as well as numerous other legitimizing agencies. I was extremely cautious in my search for a debt settlement company since so many of them are scams. I'm so surprised that some of you have had such bad experiences.

The BBB won`t just let a settlement company be a member. They usually require the settlement company to at least be in business for 2 years and be in good standing with them before they can apply for membership.

What is a BBB Accredited Business?

If a business has been accredited by BBB, it means BBB has determined that the business meets BBB accreditation standards, which include a commitment to make a good faith effort to resolve any consumer complaints. BBB Accredited Businesses pay a fee for accreditation review/monitoring and for support of BBB services to the public.

BBB accreditation does not mean that the business' products or services have been evaluated or endorsed by BBB, or that BBB has made a determination as to the business' product quality or competency in performing services.

Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation.
