By working w/ a "debt consolidation" company, will that hurt my credit score/report?

This program will show up in your credit report until all the debts are paid off. It won't hurt your credit too much considering the fact that you are already going to default in your payments because of high interest rates. By consolidating your debts, you will have a suitable plan set with your creditors and pay off all the dues. Your scores will improve after the creditors update your file with the bureaus and the accounts are marked as "paid"
