My husband is terminally ill and has several pay day loans. Is it possible to consolidate pay day loans? And how would one go about doing so?

Are the loans even legal?

What state do you live in?
What are the names of the lenders?
How were the loans obtained (internet or storefront)?

Hi,

As you didn't mention your state, it is pretty tough to assume whether or not payday loan lending is legal. You have to first find out if payday loan lending is legal in your state and if it is so, you're liable to repay both the interest rates and the principal amount. If it isn't, you will probably require paying back only the principal amount.

Now as you say that you want to consolidate your payday loans, you can certainly do so by contacting a payday loan consolidation company. Tell them about your hardship and they'll work out an alternative repayment plan with you where you have to make a single monthly payment to the company. The interest rates will also be drastically lower in order to enable you to facilitate the repayment procedure.

Hope this helps..!!!

I completely agree with Amy. At first, you should try to negotiate with your lenders. You may try to consolidate the debts on your own. If it is not possible for you to negotiate with your lenders yourself, then you may get help from a reliable payday loan debt consolidation company. The following link may help you in this regard:

[sigh]

How about if you just first give us the info I requested. I will help you figure out if your lenders are licensed, etc. and we can go from there.

Don't even think about PDL consolidation until we've taken this step.
