I had a card that was through this bank but when i told them it was missing they gave me the number on a peice of paper and now im fighting payments and debt that is not mine what can i do?
If it's your card, then you'll be responsible for whatever amount you owe on it. Your bank should have blocked this card immediately after your loss and issued a new one. Did you file a police report?
If you missed your card, inform to the bank and ask them to block the card. The best way to prevent identity theft is to protect our identification and financial information from prying eyes. Awareness and caution are effective methods to counter fraud.

Some creditors and collection agencies refuse to lower the pay off amount, interest rate, and fees owed by the consumer.
Creditors/collection agencies can make collection calls and file lawsuits against the consumers represented by the debt relief companies.
Debt relief services may have a negative impact on the consumer's creditworthiness and his overall debt amount may increase due to the accumulation of extra fees.
The amount which the consumer saves with the use of debt relief services can be regarded as taxable income.
