Hi there!

Ive been searching the forum since I signed up this morning. (Hello hello) The info Ive found here has been so useful! Its nice to know that Im not alone in this.

Just some background info... Back in 2000 I had some debt issues that have since gone to collections and one almost went to court. (which im settling and will be paid off in OCT- FINALLY ) Since then I now have about $6500 worth of CC debt and just cant keep up the payments. This is the first month Ive been late since they were opened. (I only work part time in the summer months.)

Ok now Ive been looking into some debt consolidation companies and was wondering if anyone has any experience with incharge debt solutions?

Now Ive heard of T&C and according to most of you theyre great. But Im just trying to weigh my options and get some opinions. Especially after I signed up here and googled the recommended company. It came up on a list of "bad" companies not to do business with. I have the site if youd like to see. Although the site seems pretty one sided and Im not sure how legit THEY seem.

Ok well Ill stop my rant here. If youve read this far THANK YOU! Im just really confused and am open to any advice.

Stay far away from Incharge debt solutions. We had consolidated our credit cards and when the balance reached below $500.00, they notified the creditors they had dropped us from the program. When we received a copy of the letter, I called them and they stated that since our balances were below $500.00 that they were no longer able to help and left us hanging in the breeze. It was after they changed their name from Profina to Incharge Debt Solutions. They also screwed my mom royally. She had consolidated her debt with them and they never followed up with the creditors, never notified her of the ones that wouldn't work with consolidation. She was making the monthly payment and they were only paying the ones that accepted the proposal and keeping the rest. She withdrew her cards from them, because the balances went up instead of down. One of the creditors she had in the program and thought she was paying has now tripled the balance. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. But remember, each person has different experiences with a company and hopefully someone else will come along and share their experience with Incharge.

You are doing the right thing by comparing your options before choosing the debt consolidation company. After all, you need to have the faith towards the company that will be handling your finance. Most of the people including myself are in the similar situation are like you. I registered in this site with a total debt of $8000 and my info was sent to a consolidation company in my area. The counselor offered me some helpful tips towards erasing my past debts and framed my payment options. I am regular in my consolidation payments and have taken a plan of 24 months. I know I will have to go through some hard times during the program but my counselor has been nice enough to provide me all the necessary assistance through out. His contribution will be very important towards making me debt free. I suggest you the same thing of taking the counseling from here. You will be able to compare your options in a better way.

debtsucks---my experience is with T&C and so far they have been great to work with--which is nice when you have creditors on your butt all the time. The people at T&C made me feel like somebody was on my side. Good luck whatever avenue you take. Keep us posted on your progress and feel free to ask lots of questions.

I forgot to add in my post above that I am with T&C now and things are looking better. Will be debt free in late 2007. All credit cards will be paid off. Sorry for sounding so negative earlier. You made the right decision signing up with this site for consolidation help.

Thats ok Tammy. To be honest I didnt even see it that way. You were just voicing your opinion which is what I asked for. I was seriously thinking about going with them too. They were my first choice so I really appreciate your input on them. Goes to show good commercials and a pretty website are not good indications of the service youll get.

As for T&C, theyre looking better and better. My brother is serving in Iraq right now and knows quite a few people that are getting into some bad situations financially from being gone so long. (He works in finance as well) So I'd take his word for anyway but reading these posts are giving me the extra push. I still have some research but theyll probably be who I go through. I cant say this enough but- Thank you all so much! After months of worrying and now missing my first payments I finally feel like Im getting a handle on this.

Hey there debtsucks! Good thing you've found us! T&C will be your pals till the end. Good thing you got here before your went ahead with debt solution. I've dealt with them when I used to collect and they're not very helpful. I thumb my nose in their direction.
