Any idea what the statue of limitations is in the state of Ohio on an insurance judgment?
My son didn't have car insurance. He was involved in 2 different accidents. Both insurance companies filed and received judgments against him, one on 5/21/02 & the other on 6/7/01.
His driving privileges were suspended for 5 years in 2001. He is changing his life being able to drive again would enable him to drive himself to and from work and relieve me of another responsibility. Any idea? I thought 8 years.

Shouldn't the department of motor vehicles there be able to help out?

We’re heading to the bmv next week to confirm how much his reinstatement fees are. I will check with them then just thought someone might know.

Judgment can be renewed on 10 - 15 years period. In case, the judgment wasn't filed before the SOL expired, the statutes would have been valid for six years in Ohio. But, you must confirm though.
