I would make some phone calls with these people first to see if they can help you out. Also if you signed up for you, you can speak to a credit counselor and see what they can do for you. But go ahead and call the tax collectors office, your mortgage comany, you finance company for your car,and your credit card company and see if they can help you out with anything, this would be a start. I don't think you want to get yourself in debt any more than you already are.

A lot of car loan places will give you a deferment for medical reasons. If you explain to all of your lenders about the death, chances are they can do a deferment at least for you. That will give you a chance to get caught up for a month.

Hello anniekay1967, I am sorry for your loss. However, I hope that you will find some relief here, in our helpful community! Welcome
As some olready stated, try calling your creditors. You can be suprised that sometimes there are "real people" on the other side. I hope that you can work out a deal.
Also, try to call the 1800 number that is listed on this page. The credit counselors there are very helpful.
Good luck and keep us informed!
