Internet PDL companies that are out of the country and what

Wondering if anyone knows what exactly we can do about them I have reported them to the canadian officials when i called the attorney Consumer Protection Hotline today they bascially told me that there is nothing I can do about them since they are not here in the US , If that is the case then there is nothing to be done about Illegal charges etc and harassment that they cause,

I was told to report this on the FBI website for
www.ic3.gov/ and to also use the canadian website to report this which is http://www.recol.ca/

did that but wondering what good it will do they wont work with me at all and I have tried to set up payment arrangements with them to no avail, Im afraid they will report to the credit but I dont have the funds to pay them in full right now just partial
They wont give me address to send payments to as they dont do business that way only ACH and they want me to give them family or friends bank accounts
Suggestions please,

CTC and GFI are the ones that Im having a hard time with along with MYCASHNOW

Txtreasure, I know how you are feeling with all these lenders. Everyone dealing with them is having problems because of their illegal business. Try for a settlement because that's the only way you will like to get rid off them. Send your proposal in writing through certified mail. Once it is accepted, you have records to prove the facts. Keep filing your complaints with the legal authorities.

Someday, they will be forced to take legal actions and throw these companies out of the country.

Txtresure, I am sorry but I don't agree with Justme. Don't try to settlement - keep filing complaints. Don't send them a proposal file file file. These companies are operating illegally in the United States and need to be shut down and if we all agree to settle with them then how do we prove a point. They won't come after you because if they do they will be in more trouble than it's worth to come after you.

Please keep filing the complaints over and over. Our complaints are being looked at. Proof from an earlier post from Sue shows that the state of California has listened and many states are to follow. If it weren't for the multiple complaints, some of the states wouldn't have banned them from doing business and there wouldn't be the class action suits like there was against Quikpayday.

WEll I know that anyone that has any of these from Canada and the UK the more complaints they get the better the chance of something getting done I am going to send another letter to them certifed as I have already done this once with no response I will also print off the complaints that I filed against them and with who so they know I mean business with this
I figured if they report it to the Credit b then I will dispute it as they wont send me a debt validation CTC did send me a collection letter with the amount total but I want it broke down to see where they think they can charge me what they are in fees etc Is that asking for to much?
Shouldnt i have the right to have that?

You absolutely have the right to a breakdown of the charges. As you know CTC is difficult. Stick to your plan and let them know that you know the laws.

Actually, your advice is also right. A point must be made. But, look at the actions taken against them.. Till now loads of complaints have already been filed and the govt. hasn't done anything to throw them out of the country. CTC, Sonic are still doing business and scamming people. When a complaint is filed, the govt say that such companies don't come under our jurisdiction as they are out of State. The responsibilities keep shifting giving these companies the chance to survive.

This is only my opinion, but:
I have to agree with some of these posts, and then again there's some disagreement.
These "outside" companies go by very different rules.
Here's a copy of an email I received from the Financial Service Authority in the UK. I attempted to report Cashtoday and aliases to see what they would say.
Unfortunately for us, these lenders will continue to harrass you at unspeakable hours and at great length until you settle with them.
I settled with them for a nominal amount and the harrassment stopped.
This was, of course, my choice. I decided not to engage in conversations with them at 3am.
Filing complaints with US government agencies may make you feel better, but in the long run, I think some of our complaints tend to fall on deaf ears.

I still think, and I do, stand up and fight for what's right. But also want to continue a peaceful existence in my home.

Again this is only my opinion.

Actually Sonic is no longer accepting new customers but yes I agree that they need to run out of the country but it's pretty hard to control the internet.

Having the debt paid in full is good if they will be reasonable you're right there.

erz, I have sent similar letters to multiple UK agencies regarding Cash Today. They all have a similar pass the buck mentality.

The key agency in the US to report overseas internet lenders to is the UNITED STATES SECRET SERVICE. They oversea all international wire transfers.

My brother and I have been talking with reps. of the Gov. of KY, The Attny Gen. And also several LAWYER hotlines, We feel like advocates here in KY. If YOU are not going to be able to Pay these predators, Close your acct. and start contacting the officials of your state. Many of these officials are just now becoming aware of this horrible trend of legal MAFIAS The State of Kentucky has one of the worst problems with a PDL in almost every city county mall next to banks, Just on one end of the town I live in there are at least 12 within 3 miles of each other. I am gonna work hard to get the govt to get these Greedy ******** from taking mainly the desparate poor peoples money. HMMMM If you are wealthy why would you need to use a PDL
