Do a search of the forum....there are some other choice opinions.

If the court says they overcharged you, try to get it in writing. Then file against them in small claims court. You should have their banking information on the back of your cancelled checks. Will make garnishing their bank account all the easier.

well i paid 2k upfront, then they asked for the filing fees, at this point i had already retained them so i just complied, when i went to court they told me they took too much and my case could'nt be filed then. not only that it went through the hands of 3 different attornys, the 1 that went to court with me had no idea what all that $ went too, anyways the court had to motion something in regards to that, but im not sure what that means for me. they are a firm based in FL that sent me letters for a fresh start program...seemed reputible, but after court i dont believe that they are.

I paid $1000 up front and canceled my contract with them. They said they mailed me a refund a month ago, of course I never received it. I contacted the Florida Bar, 651 E Jefferson St., Tallahassee, FL 32301-2546. I am still trying to deal with this. Hopefully this info can help someone.

I had dealings with thi9s company and there is nothing but gracious and did a great job for me. They are demanding, when it comes to getting the documents in that they need. what allot of consumers do is delay the process by not having all the information together when they need it and then blame the attornies. You have to qualify for a loan mod, you are NEVER gauranteed. No one, no firm can make promises to do a loan mod unless you qualify. do your homework people!!!

This law firm sucks. I also started the New Start program with them in Nov. and paid 2k up front. I cannot get them to call me back when Ileave messages. They do not update you on the dealings with your mortgage company. They have even made decision without consulting with me.
I hope future clients see these complaints before they hink about using them..

If any mortgage modification outfit wants money up front, you'll never see that money again and pretty soon you'll never see your house again.

RUN AWAY

GIVE THEM NO MONEY

and immediately complain to your state attorney general and the FTC. And if they're a lawyer or law firm or claiming to be one, complain to their state bar.

Advance payment for so called mortgage modification is all the red flag you need.

I started with this company in January and have never had anything done with my mortgage. No one will ever return my phone calls! Then when I did get a hold of this Dino to tell him its been 6months and nothing and that I want a refund he tells me it will take 7-10 days. Its now been about 3 weeks and still nothing, he says the review board is still reviewing it. Can someone help!

Dino that I talked to said that getting my money back needs to go to the review board first to get an answer. This has been since memorial day week and I've got no answer yet. He says its still in with the review board! I am so fraustrated
