how long can a judgment stay on real estate title and in your credit report?

Once you have the judgment, you need to pay it off directly or through the court. See this link on the process involved in paying a judgment.
It will show as a paid off item in the credit copy for seven years.

I also was wondering this.... from what i've read, it goes state by state and if i've read correctly my state is 10 years if not re-newed. So the way i read this is, if after 10 years u have not settled this judgement it must be renewed.... but if it's not re-newed than what? lol
Ok, so guess i really don't have an answer for this question! Now i'm more confused than ever but am hoping to have this judgment against me paid off in less than 10 years! (crosssing fingers)
