If I consolidate my bills am I able to keep any of my credit cards, like one or two to help built back my credit?

Yes! You can keep one or two if you work it out with the counsellor!

Welcome to the Community  Just a note about keeping credit cards, be very carefull and stay strong that they will be used for that purpose. I did that years ago--and now here I am alot older and was in cc debt- so be carefull. Today I have gotten out of the cc debt and retain a store card for that purpose only..Good Luck to you..karen

Awhile back, I had to keep one for business travel (hotels,etc.)....
