  • Upfront fees without offering loans: One of the common complaints against Kingston Financial is that they charge you an upfront fee without offering you a loan. They keep charging you more money, but do not give you the loan. If you ask them for refund, they do not pay back the money.

There's one consumer who says he got a Kingston Financial online loan of $5000 and gave them an upfront fee of $775. He was told that he would not get the loan until he deposited another $775. Then, he was told that another loan company was willing to offer a loan of $8000, but that in order to get it he had to put down another $554!! The consumer demanded a refund, but it never happened. He said the company is a scam. Find out more…

  • Complicated terms in loan contract: Often said to include various complicated terms in the loan contract to rip off customers. One customer said he got a $200 payday loan without reading the terms of the loan. Later on, he found out that the company would charge him $89 each payday until he paid down the loan in full. He claimed he paid over $1000 for a $200 loan! Find out more…

Is there any positive feedback about them?

There are only a small number of people who say they are satisfied with the company's service. Below is one such positive response shared by a consumer:

One consumer says he took out a $200 loan with a $89 fee. The company deposited the loan amount into his account on the next business day as they had promised. He asked the company to take the full amount of $289 out of his savings account in his next payday. The company did what he asked them to do and he did not have trouble dealing with them. I just received an e-mail from kingston financial payday loans company saying they would renew my loan and withdraw only the finance fee on Friday, 2/27. I had received an email last night from them saying to disregard that email if they had already processed my application.

The problem is: I have never received a loan from them! I am terrified that they are going to draw money out of my account on Friday and every payday after. I sent them 2 threatening emails, and called but they were closed. I will call again in the morning. What can I do to make them prove they did not deposit money in my account?

They are the same thing as Rapid Cash Management. Did you get a loan from RCM, perhaps?

Hi Srowan
Kingston Financial Service is a life insurance agency and so what I think is that, they have send you the email to inform you that they are going to collect the premium by debiting your bank account. You can call them up at any of the following numbers: (313) 873-3401, (313) 873-3423, (313) 873-3429.

There are many companies called Kingston Financial. I found one in Australia, one in Kingston, NY and there are others on Google I didn't check out so closely. But I called RCM and they told me that are also Kingston Financial and since it's a debt forum and srowan is describing a payday loan. ("I just received an e-mail from them saying they would renew my loan and withdraw only the finance fee on Friday, 2/27.") they seem the most likely fit.

Blanche, many scams have originated from Nigeria. Chances are, they are not licensed to lend to US residents...99.9999999% it is a scam...
