Wow - 7! That's fantastic, cbigfan. How long did it take, if you don't mind my asking?

Langhorne has had my account for 3 weeks now. 1 of the settlements I got on my own, but the other 6 his office negotiated. 4 others he negotiated a "principal only" payback over 4 months (these were recent ones I had taken out and had not yet made any payments on). Still a long way to go, but I have come so far from that place of despair 3 weeks ago. Thanks for your support!

You're more than welcome! It's so great to see another success story, especially in so short a time. As far as the payback, that time will be gone before you know it, and you'll be debt free! (definitely a huge accomplishment!) Again, congratulations, and keep up the good work.

Dear Laura,

We are sorry that you are dissatisfied with our service.

We will be mailing you a check shortly in the amount of $1184.00 which is the total amount of fees we collected from you for your loan less balance of the principal owed us.

Star Light Financial, LLC
That more than covers Langhorne's fee!!! Guess they just paid for themselves

I spoke to them twice this morning. Once I called them, and once they called me. I was notified of yet another settled account and a refund. What number are you calling?

I am dialing 866-529-0217. I've been with them for 3 weeks and I've not been notified of settlements, refunds, or anything. How long have you been with them? They've been so nice and professional. I really have gotten my hopes up. I'll be devestated if I've been scammed again. Please make me feel better...........

I just called the number and it is working just fine. I have been with them for 3 weeks. You said you have been with them 3 weeks? And made 2 payments to them? Hmm. Curious. They only take payments once a month. Which counselor did you have your orientation with? I have all their direct contact numbers. Perhaps I can help you get in touch

I have one small issue - it all seems too good. And here's my reasoning:

Star Light Financial. If anything, that website is horrible (starlightfs.com). You want me to enter my name and social security number on a webpage with no encryption? And that URL - a WHOIS brings it up and another hidden proxy.

Something isn't right. I can't put my finger on it, but something just does not feel right with me. Maybe someone can convince me otherwise.

Jedijeff. Starlight is a PDL Lender. We were discussing being able to reach Langhorne which is a lawfirm that is settling PDL loans for consumers. What was your question??

I don't have a question, per se. Just that reading all the posts, seeing both sides based on what people are saying, something doesn't add up.

And I guess Starlight is a lender. Have you logged into their website? If so, I would definately watch your credit report for identity theft. I also find it amazing that I can't even CONTACT them without having an account, yet there is nowhere on that site I can apply for one. And no phone number listed. How is the world do they expect to do business when you can't contact them unless you login, but you can't login unless they have created an account? And when you sneak thru their fine html coding to get to a contact box, again, you need to enter a SS# on an unsecured webpage.

jedi is right, if it seems too good to be true then it is. there is alot more going on here and people just have blinders on. and he is right in the end people will see why this doesn't add up.
