How much is your total debt amount? A consultant in your area is already referred by this website. You can discuss about your debts with him and deal with your creditors. He will quote you a monthly payment which you have to pay towards a new account opened in the settlement program. Once there is enough money in the new account, he will start the negotiation process with your creditors. Read all the terms before signing the contract and research them with your local AG's office for consumers' feedbacks. You want to have the peace of mind of dealing with a reputed company. In case, you are not comfortable with the company referred, see the ranking chart section for other companies in your area.

This may sound a bit funny, but, what IS the difference?? Don't they both help with debt? Do a debt consolidation Company and Settlement Company have high fees? Any suggestions?
