I have a large credit card debt. I have two cards that I make monthly minimum payments to but it is getting hard to make these payments. I usually end up having to use the one to live one after I make the payment. I have tried to get refinanced and get a home equity line and loan. I also tried a personal loan but I can't get enough to cover the debts. I don't know what else to do. I have a good credit score, but keep finding myself in more trouble. I don't know where to start and I want the least impact on my credit score.

Welcome to the Community Very Happy Have you tried to call the cc people and asked them to lower or drop your interest so you can get it paid down? I have done this and they have done it for me. Some have programs you can get on to do this. Since you are registered, take advantage of the free credit counseling to see if they have some options that may help..Good Luck.Karen

Follow Karen's advice. You may be able to work out a plan with your credit companies. After all, they want to get back their money and seeing your willingness to pay, they might offer you some extensions and lower the interest rates. There is every chance that you will be able to arrange a good deal since you are still current in your payments. Most of the creditors won't budge when the accounts have reached a defaulted status.

If you are unable to arrange a plan with your creditors, speak with a debt counselor. He will help you in getting started

Thanks for the information. Has anyone dealt with Washington Mutual formerly Providian or AIG?
