I'll suggest that you should shop more, collect names and tally them with our forum and BBB. This'll give you a fair idea about the different options you have. You can also get Free counseling from our community's debt expert to get you out of debt

Here are the names of some proven debt settlement companies that are members of the BBB and The Association of Settlement Companies. ( TASC ) or The United States Organization for Bankruptcy Alternatives ( USOBA ). New Beginnings Debt Settlement LLC , Century Negotiations , and Superior debt relief. These are not the only good ones out there but this will at least help point you in the right direction.

Try the ranking chart above. They are rated by people who have used them before and arranged by state. It is a good place to start.

I have a great debt settlement company, that has done outstanding work on my behalf, as well as for most people that hook up with them. I haven't spoken to a collector yet, that hasn't used shady, if not downright illegal tactics in trying to get paid. It's nice to have a legitimate company working for you, that can guide you through all the BS. The collectors don't like settlement companies, because they know they will be dealing with informed clients that have been informed of their rights, and can't be bullied or initimidated.

Try Take Charge America, there is a web site. Yes, they do charge a small fee, varies by state. I just started a debt managment plan with them, so far so good.
