anyone heard of the loan shop? or pd6 ventures? they sent me an email regarding outstanding pd loan...

I live in North Carolina and have advised them
that payday loans are illegal in NC and that
I have contacted the ATTORNEY GENERAL which I
have not done and they now want to neogitiate
and supposedly reduce me debt.

Payday loans are illegal in North Carolina. But if you have taken a loan from some company, it needs to be paid back.. they will force you to make the payment. Make sure that you pay towards the principal amount. They might try to add additional charges on the principal amount. That will be illegal in your state.

I have paid back the original amount and then some.. They are trying to railroad me in to paying additional fees that I dont owe. The original loan was for 200.00 and I have paid atleast 450.00

Is there any free legal aid in your area? Take their suggestion because you need to get a paid in full letter from the company. You should not be forced by the company to pay the additional charges. They are going above the laws. It's ridiculous.

Cocoa, if you have paid 450 on a 200 loan, by NC law you are now entitle to a 500 refund! Check out the letter on my blog, and if you need help locating the NC laws, just let me know!
