I got behind on my debts when my mother died. I was making my payments on time and everything was fine. When my mother passed away, I had to start helping my father pay bills. I had the choice to pay my bills or for us to have food on the table. I chose my family. My dad ended up filing backruptcy because he could never dig his way out of debt. I was then so behind on my debts I didn't know what to do. I am now a little older, and I want to clear this off of my credit. Please help!

I am sorry to hear about your loss. You made the right choice when it was necessary. You can take care of your debts now. Speak with a debt consolidation company for your options. They will set up a suitable plan with your creditors and you will get a lower interest rate to pay off.
