We are currently expecting our third child, which was a little bit of a surprise. We have a three bedroom home that is entirely too small. Our vehicle is also too small, but we have too much debt to get a bigger vehicle or a bigger house. I have done some calculating and figure that if I can consolidate some of our unsecured and secured debt into one payment, I can save about $365 per month, which would be a big help.

Good for you! Talk to a debt counselor and he will work out a plan with your creditors. You will get a lower interest rate to pay off the debts and with most fees waived off. The consultant will offer you different repayment plans. Pick the one that suits the best in your situation and get started. Please don't build on additional debts while you are in the program. At this time, you should stress more on eliminating the outstanding balance.
