Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to find out what bad debt i have and to whom do i owe. I keep getting declined on my cc applications. The only thing I think of was a car accident a few years back and I had no insurance for medical fees. But I have no idea who to contact. Please help me out.

Since you were declined for credit you are eligible for a copy of the credit report that they used. As mommontoya stated you can get your free credit report at https://www.annualcreditreport.com/ .

If anything is listed on there that is not right you can dispute it. Please see the DIY section for help or register and a debt consultant will contact you. Just click on the link to register.

Have you had credit with anyone else. If so, then was it reported as positive or negative credit. It would be a good idea to go through your credit report with a fine toothed comb to dipute any mistakes that might be on it.

I checked report regular basis, but nothing comes up, then I was sued by a collector. I'd like to find besides report if there is any way to find old bad debt.
