Ok so I went ahead and am putting some faith into OVLG. I am nervous obviously because the posts about being taken. They seem legit and everything is in the up and up, BUT....It seems like it will take such a long time. Their fees are lower than other reported sites and I have called to try and talk with the person who is supposed to be handling my account, but I get a voice mail and he has not called me back. I will be patient but in the mean time with the payment I can afford and their terms it seems like I will have to take the next six months before to pay their fees before something is done. Is this true? I am just nervous, but overextended and need a little boost of encouragement.

Oak View Law has a good reputation and is a member of the BBB. debt settlement is not a walk in the park. You will get phone calls and there is the risk of judgments but if you are doing a 36 month program or less and you listen to them you will get out of debt. Hang in there I know its stressful but you will get through this.

The judgements that I may get, can they usually be handled by OVLG? For example I have a Capitol One card with about $1800 on it. I heard they are the worst with patience.

Yes , most settlement companies can settle on a judgment but will likely settle at a higher %. Capital One , Discover and Bank of America are probably the 3 worst to deal with right now.

Hi, I haven't signed with anyone yet, but I have left messages at OVLG and the calls always get returned. I have even had a few phone calls with their lawyers and they have given me some good input. OVLG says if your debt settlement goes to court, they do have attorney's in which they can represent you, but I don't know the fees. Give BG another call and see if you can talk to a legal person.

I don't mean to sound rude but when I call I always get someone with a strong accent that I can't understand. This makes me nervous. They seem to check out and have a lawyer license but just am nervous about sending my money.

Most debt settlement companies have their call centers located outside of the US, it helps them cut costs and just in case they have to run, well you know......
Quick question? how does anyone know the person they spoke to on the telephone is a lawyer? Is there any way to check their credentials, I think so, ask them for their bar number and state they operate in,I´d like to see some foreigner provide somebody with that information.

I disagree. Most settlement companies are not oversees. I am not sure where you are getting that info.

You can disagree all you want, just in one foreign city I used to live in, there are four major dmp companies, stop being so trustworthy or maybe you own OVLG?, you seem to endorse them quite a lot.

Maybe I own Oak View Law , New Beginnings debt settlement LLC, Superior debt relief , Century Negotiations , Debt Wave , GreenPath debt solutions , and Consumer Credit Management Services, Inc. I must since I have mentioned these companies before. I have endorsed Microsoft before so maybe I own them to. Bill Gates if just the spokesman and fall guy.
Maybe Oak View Law does have people over sees. Who cares ? They have a good reputation and that's their prerogative. Just because they do it doesn't mean every other company outsources over sees. All of my employees that work for me are full blooded American tax paying citizens.

When BG calls me their phone # area code shows 775 which is Nevada. One of the concerns I have about Oakview is the fact that everyone I seem to talk to is in Nevada, but their business shows it's in CA. They do have lawyers in CA however.

I spoke to someone at Oak View and could barely understand what they are talking about. I would like to speak with someone who can speak better English so I am not missing anything they are saying. Also, I was told that since I had a credit card company serve me a civil summons, Oak View could not accept them with my other debts. I feel that I am getting conflicting information here.
