My son got a student loan when he went to college. When he graduated, he could only find a part time job. This is no way he can make the kind of monthly payments he is being asked to pay. Is there ANY HOPE in this situation? What did he get himself involved in with this kind of loan? I can't see how he will EVER be able to pay it off.

Your son should contact the student loan lender and discuss his financial situation with the lender. Depending upon his situation, the lender may offer him some kind of payment plan which will help your son to pay off the student loans. Good luck to him!!

What type of loan? Private or federal? What is the status? Current or defaulted?
