From the posts I've seen on the boards, most people that use them seem pretty happy with both companies. (I don't mean that people used both, just that T&C customers seem to like T&C and Langhorne's seem happy too.) But they seem to approach debt differently. T&C does debt consolidation and takes debts other than pdls, so you pay over a longer time. Langhorne is more of a debt settlement company and only does pdl's.

I was going to go with Langhorne but something about it turned me off...maybe because their attorney is the one who wrote all the PDL contracts!

Could be he's the one who knows how to break them, too.

Actually neither company does anything you can't do for yourself. But it might be worth it to someone who doesn't want the aggravation.

I'm with Langhorne and have been very happy with them. My advice to you is to get info on both companies and decide which one would best meet your needs. If you have mostly PDL's, Langhorne should be the way to go, but if you don't, then maybe you should consider T and C. It's up to you!

How long does it take once you've signed up with T&C? I got the paper work today and I need to get these folks took care of ASAP! PDLS are already late.

How much is the typical start up on T&C? I am starting to get back to the old feeling of never getting out of this mess, been a bad week. Emails getting kind of nasty from one company, etc. One collection company calling, but I can handle that. I don't know. Any thoughts?

T & C's start up fee is $210 now? When I thought of using them a few months back, it was only $155! bflow-remember to try to think positive. My friend frogpatch once told me that if you think positive thoughts, good things will happen!

Thanks Sass, I am trying. It's getting better, I guess it could always be worse. At least I have a house and electric, my car is paid up, the rest I will take it as it comes.

Oh see....a lot to be thankful for. I have a hard time being positive too but then I remember that I have my home and utilities, and a car to go back and forth to work, and I get my paycheck now to pay my bills and I don't have to go take out another pdl just so I have money once all the other pdl's have taken my whole check. Yeah, not doing that again! If nothing else comes out of this, I have learned a BIG lesson. First, I will never hide anything like this from my husband again. He said if I am honest, we will find a way together to get out of it. So, we discussed the T&C thing and we are going to make a decision about it this weekend. What bothers me most is that MY BANK won't do anything at all to help and every bank I tried today said NO (chexsystem). Goudah is even trying to help me find another bank. Everything is far from me or uses chexsystems. Frustrating

I was not upfront with my husband regarding the amount of pdl's that I had either! He had no idea I had racked up $2000 in pdls. I'm not hiding anything like that again either. I feel so much better not hiding stuff from him.

My bank was no help either....I am sure that Goudah will be able to find a bank for you. She is SO smart about banks and chexsystems, etc and she has helped a lot of people find banks they could open accounts at.
