|
|
Okay, so I have gone back and forth with Payday Select, they owe me about $2000 from overcharging. The first offer was for $250, I told them I would settle for $1000, they just emailed me today and said that they would settle for $500, but they are unable to settle for $100 at this time. I have two questions:
1. Has anyone ever received a refund from these people? And if so, how much was it and how much did they actually owe you?
2. Should I just accept the $500 and move on or should I fight for half?
I'm just afraid that if by chance, they do give me a refund, if I tell them no to the $500, they won't give me anything.
Thanks!
Sarah

I have a defaulted loan with them and have not heard from them for a month or so. Was it your experience that they disappear for a while and then return?

I have not heard a word from them in a long time either. I did not pay them on the 20th like I told them I would and I filed a complaint with the AG. I am hoping that they mark me PIF like Payday OK did.wellsfamily, I am not sure what you should do. I am sure someone will come along soon and give you some good advice.

I think you should try for the $1000. They seem to be going up with each offer . . . . But I haven't dealt with this company, so I don't know what they've done in the past. Hopfully someone that has will see this post and respond with their experience.

Actually, I told them last Tuesday (or Monday...) I wasn't going to pay them, that they overcharged me and that I want a refund. I contacted both Payday Select and Payday OK on the same day. Payday OK was the first to respond telling me my account was marked PIF (I didn't request a refund since I was overcharged by about $30). Payday Select responded after I sent 4 emails in 2 days. They said they were looking at my account then replied on Thursday with the $250. Then I told them no and listed in detail how much I overpaid on Friday. No word so I emailed them yesterday again and they responded back this morning with the $500.
Have any of ya'll received a refund from Payday OK? From what I was told, they are the same company!

I didn't get a refund from them because I hadn't overpaid them but once they heard from the AG's office they marked my account PIF. I always heard from Payday OK and Payday Select at the exact same time.

Okay, so I decided not to take the $500 that a $1000 is a great settlement for both parties (its less than half of what they owe). So here is my response:
| Quote: | | You said you won't be able to offer a $1000 settlement at this time. So at what point in time can you offer a $1000 settlement? I do not accept a $500 settlement as that is less than 25% of what is owed to me. A $1000 settlement is fair for both parties, if you are unwilling to accept this, I will need to take further action. I will wait on a response. |
